This Monday we visited DSM in Delft to give a presentation and show the DVD to a group of women of DSM's so-called 'WIN' (Women International Network). We got great feedback from this group of inspired and professional women with expertise and knowledge on the subject of Food Security. A selection of the feedback we got: Intermediates like the supermarkets have a huge role. The problem for consumers is that you can’t find a simple product and that you have to choose from what the supermarket offers. The role of women is important in the chain: women-mother-school-kid. We are not enough aware, we all need education. Awareness and education is the most important thing. The debate on food security is polarised. Good information is needed, to create awareness. People do not value food, we have no clue on the source. Information as “from farm to fork” helps us to have more source knowledge. It is a complex issue, there are many solutions possible. I believe that small steps matter, we can make a difference! It’s easy to make a desicion for myself, but the problem is how to convince others? We want to thank DSM for having us and leaving us with some great things to think about!
Afgelopen maandag was CERES bij de Nationale Denktank in Amsterdam. Een inspirerende dag vol met goede ideeën van getalenteerde mensen en een toplocatie! Er zijn in totaal 7 ideeën gepresenteerd :
