Floriade

On 13 and 14 April 2012 Marlène van Benthem and Jolande ter Borg represented CERES at the 'Floriade' (a famous Dutch World Agricultural Expo, which is organized every 10 years). Together with the NVR, Voedingscentrum and several other (women) organizations, CERES organized 3 workshops per day.In an entertaining quiz several important facts about the global food situation were presented and the crucial role of women in reaching global food security was evidenced.
On 14 April 'CERES' own film team' consisting of Josefien Fleuren (Basement Productions) and Helma Peters (Wilhelmina Films) shot several scenes for 3 movies.Amongst others NVR Chair Dieny Scheffer and Member of the Board Anneke van Veen were interviewed. Anke Vervoord (director of 'NBvP, Vrouwen van Nu' and Women Representative for the UN 2012) was invited to describe her perfect "EVA" (Effectieve Voedselzekerheids Actie = Effective Food Security Action).
